"Never doubt that a small, group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has " -- Margaret Mead
We are Vibha Boston, the Boston action center for Vibha, a US-based, non-profit, non-political, and non-religious organization. Our volunteers organize regular campaigns and events to promote our mission and raise funds to support child development projects in India. Our flagship fundraising event is the Annual Kiteflying Festival. Since 2015, Vibha Boston has raised over $35,000 for underprivileged children in India and the US. Our other events include the BollyX fitness event, which is eagerly awaited for, yoga and art events. The volunteers meet every month on the first Sunday, for discussions on the projects that Vibha supports and planning for local fundraising events and programs.
Every year a portion of the proceeds from our Annual Kiteflying Festival benefit local organizations that work with underprivileged children. Cradles to Crayons Boston is the local beneficiary of the Annual Kiteflying festival.
About Cradles to Crayons Boston
Cradles to Crayons provides children from birth through age 12, living in homeless or low-income situations, with the essential items they need to thrive – at home, at school, and at play. Cradles to Crayons supply these items free of charge by engaging and connecting communities.
They employ an efficient and effective three-step model that provides kids with the essentials they need, free of charge. New and nearly new children's items are collected through grassroots community drives and corporate donations. Donations are then processed and packaged by volunteers in their warehouse, The Giving Factory®. Packages from The Giving Factory are distributed to local children - through their collaborative network of diverse service partners.
