Indrani and Varsha
Choreographer - Sarita Venkataraman
Varsha had trained in Kuchipudi as a child and she wanted to use her dancing skills for a good cause. Vibe and her intention were a match made in heaven. Her long time neighbor and friend, Indrani resonated with Vibha as she grew up hearing stories of her mom's hardships when she tried to attend high school. While there has been progress made, she finds that there are still major gender gaps in education, especially in India. Indrani wants to do her part to give the gift of education to the next generation. Indrani and Varsha wanted a dance that is based on classical dance, and one that is also lively and fun. Sarita has choreographed a medley for this team and the duo is working hard to rock the show at Vibe.
Nandini and Surya
Choreographer - Deepika and Bishal
When we approached Praveena and Jayant, parents of this dynamic pair of youngsters- they said Yes to dancing at Vibe, without even knowing what that entailed. "For the Kids, anything", said Praveena. As complete non dancers, they were willing to step up to the challenge. However, an accident in the family forced them to step back. This is when the kids - Nandini and Surya stepped in their parents' shoes and decided to dance in their place. Deepika and Bishal are working with this incredible pair of kids who are finding time for this important fundraiser in the midst of their school work, other rehearsals, competitive volleyball and athletic practices. Kids advocating for kids. What could be more inspiring? We can't wait to welcome Nandini and Surya to Vibe!!
Shyamala and Rishaan
Choreographer - Manjari
Shyamala said Yes without batting an eyelid when we asked her and immediately picked Rishaan- her joyous 7 year old son to be her partner pair. After a few rounds of trying to work on a choreographer, Manjari- Shyamala’s best friend for decades took them on. They worked through many themes and songs and decided on a routine that’s sure to hit the cuteness overload factor! Shyamala is infectious in her positivity, always ready to make an impact in this world and the pair is super excited to participate in Vibe. Having fun and creating an impact is also how they define a win. So it sure sounds like this pair has already won!!!
Shama and Patrick

Shama and Patrick are a dynamic duo who are passionate about giving back. When Shama was a young child who moved from India to the USA, Communities in Schools- Vibha’s local Dallas beneficiary- was instrumental in enriching her life through exposure to the Arts. "Vibe is going to give wonderful meaning to my dance. It’s my honor to dance for a cause so I feel it's a mutual, meaningful, pure bond between me and Vibe. I used to take part in social work activities back in India and I strongly believe ‘What we have done for ourselves alone dies with us, what we have done for others and the world remains and is immortal.’ Vibha is doing wonderful job supporting children with education and lightening up their lives and I am with them. Let’s do this together!"
Priyanka And Oorja
Choreographer - Self
Priyanka leads the sales and account operations team for her organization. She has always believed that there is no better gift than the gift of education. "When you help educate a child with limited means, you help not only them but many generations to come. Education certainly helps with earning a livelihood but at the same time, it helps us obtain a broader thought process and perspective," she says.
Her daughter Oorja is a 7th Grade student at Coppell Middle East. She was in competitive gymnastics, retired after level 5 and has a newfound passion for golf. She also thoroughly enjoys being the President of her speech club and the time spent on learning to play the guitar.
The moment Priyanka learned about Vibha and that Vibha was focused on education, both mom and daughter were super excited to join the cause. The icing on the cake is their love for dancing. They have performed together a couple of times in the recent past and are greatly looking forward to teaming up again for such great cause.
